FATAL EXPLOSION.
| AX" ACETYLENE I!AS PLANT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. At the inquest on Albert Victor Davies, who died as the result of an explosion of an acetylene pa 8 plant, tho deceased's father stated that he knew his won was making an acetyleno plamt, anil warneu him that it was dangeroas. Deceased said he had seen several plants made at his work,' and he .thought lie eould make one. About 5.30 p.m., deceased's mother went to call him from his workshop for tea. •Just as she went to the door there was un explosion. She called out to know what was the matter and, nct-iving no answer, went into the worksnop. She called out "Willie's blown his head off!" Witness went in and found the deceased lying on his back, with the pipe of fkv generator embedded in his forehead* The force of the explosion had driven the pipe with a tap attached right through thp head to the bad jf lis skull.
