The Government Rave £4OOO last week, and the City Council a similar sum. Since then, u canvass has been made, and the publio subscribed £AiOO and the Eastbourne Borough £SOO. The City Council to-night met the organisers of the project, and agreed to guarantee the balance required. Otherwise the property would have been submitted to auction to-morrow.
