CORRESPONDENCE.

THE TARIKI ROAD. To the Editor. -Sir, —Through the medium of your valuable columns, I would like to draw the attention of the Taranaki County Council to the disgraceful condition of the Tariki road. Some time ago a portion of the road was picked up and a rough coating of metal applied to the top. Despite the fact that the county road roller was working in the vicinity, it neglected to show an appearance on the road. I cannot imagine how it is that our usually so efficient and industrious inspector neglects to look after the interests of the settlers on this road. In conclusion, I trust that our worthy Council will send the roller here to roll the road so as to make it fit for vehicular traffic.—l am, etc., INDIGNANT.
