A young woman named Alice Mabel Rankin, formerly a barmaid, walked into Hogau's tailoring establishment in King's street, and fired four shots at an employee, Gilbert Irving, two striking him. His condition is serious. She then lired. two shots into her own breast. She will probably recover. The affair is the outcome of jealousy, arising out of Irving's recent marriage
