THE AUCKLAND VISITORS. The visiting bowlers from Auckland, 10 of them, commenced onerutions in New Plymouth yesterday. Ju the morning they were shown over the oil wells, and the reihtery, u ,„[ W eru much interested in all they saw. in the t-.ftenioon they! played the West Er.d Club. On Monday morning they will play a match on the New Plymouth green against the ' rinks which visited Auckland fast year. ' This afternoon they will play the town club 1 for tiie cup which was subscribed for by members of both chilis for an- ' una! competition. On Monday after- ' noon a match will be pln/cd on the ' l-'itzrov green, and most of tile visitors will leave by Tuesday moraine's mail train, the others returning the same : night by the Karawa. Cray, and B. Buttle. WEST END DEFEAT AUCKLAND. The Auckland bowlers olayed a match against West End, at the West End! green, yesterday afternoon, and a most enjoyable game resulted in a. win for the local team by 10 points.
