Mr. Bodkin Hinted that a letter : n Gould's letterbook to a correspondent in 1903 showed that his real name was Kchroeder. He fought in the FrancoGerman war and had visited most parts of Europe as a member of the secret service for a foreign I'owcr. Mr. Bodkin remarked that Gould wua a spy in Britain for many years. He told a former schoolfellow that hr was an agent of the German Govern ment. Letters in his letterbook proved the payment of money, also a request for 200 marks. UOCI'MKN'TS FOUND OX GOULD. Received B, 12.35 a.m. London, March 5. Mr. Bodkin stated that an official chart of Spithead, drawings relating to the engine-room arrangements of battleships, also a gunnery hook were found in Gould's possesion.
