Allen, Minister for Education, when opening a new school at Akaroa, this afternoon, said that he intended next session to five further consideration to the salaries pa'd to school teachers. lie hoped to make things better for them, not only in the primary school but also in the secondary, for, in his opinion, the teachers in the latter schools were very niucli underpaid, and he hoped to make their position more comfortable in the future.
