I.ONDOX WOOL SALES. ' BRISK AND EXCITED. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Loudon, March 3. The wool sales have opened. Competition is brisk and excited. 'Merinos jidvanced 5 to 1% per cent., and cro.vv breds fully 10 per cent, By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Yesterday. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram from the High Commissioner, dated London Mareh 3, regarding the opening of the second series of coloninl wool sales: "Thewool sales have commenced. There ! is a large attendance of buyers and competition is great. Americans are i strong. Merinos average y.,d and crossj bredshk above the closing rates ot last ' sales. There are 00,200 bales of New | Zealand wool catalogued.
