NEW PRISON CAMP.
OX WAIMARINO PLAINS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Taihape, last Night. In connection with the ruinot that till! Government was establishing a prison enmp in Waimarirto, it is now definitely announced that the camp will be situated four miles from Waimarino railway station. Accommodation will be provided for fourteen officers and men, but this will bo increased as time goes on. The gang will be first employed in making the road from VTaimarino to Tokaanu, reducing the dis- .. tance over the present Waiouru route ' by over 14 miles. When this is completed the labor is to be used in forming roads and tracks about Mount Ruapelm, and otherwise developing the Tongariro National Park « ■
