The result of to-day's meeting of the Labor caucus was not communicated to the Press, but the Daily Telegraph understands that it is almost certain the caucus agreed to the income tax exemption being reduced from £3OO to £250, which will apply to this year's incomes. No alteration is to be made in the exemption of £SO for each child, but the tax on incomes from rural lands is to be raised from Cd to 8d on the basis of taxation existing in New Zealand.
