A GIRL MURDERED.
RETINA TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED. FOR CLUE TO MURDER. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright New York, March 3. The photograph of the eye of a girl who had been clubbed to death has been taken in St. Nicholas' Cemetery, Chicago, by tho police authorities, with the object of gaining a clue to the murderer. A foreigner named Petras has been accused of the crime, the motive, it is believed, having been jealousy. Oculists assert that the retina of the eye probably shows the person who committed a crime if visible to the girl before she became unconscious.
. This method has been made use of in fiction, and its results will be interesting.
