There have been seizures of arms and ammunition in several towns. The general strike continues. The main railways are guarded by troops. The telegraph and telephone wires have been cut. BOWSKILL'S ARREST EXPLAINED. Received 5, 1.10 a.m. London,, March t. Reuter states that the Acting-Gov-ernor of San Salvador states that Bowskill was arrested for acting as leader o£ disaffected natives in the recent revolt, and allowed a mission station to be used as a base from which to besiege the Portuguese fort.
