Dyke Ackland stated that the British Consul at Coma had ordered a man to proceed to San Salvador in connection with the Bowskill case. Portugal was facilitating inquiries to the utmost. FOREIGN SPHERES OF INFLUENCE. Received 3, 10.25 p.m. Lisbon, March 2. The Premier, replying to a question in the Chamber concerning the AngloGerman agreement relative to the sphere of influence in the Portuguese colonies, said that Portugal was ready to open her colonics to all good enterprises, but Portugal alone had the power to fix the spheres of foreign enterprise.
