A MOTORIST'S DEATH.

An ini|Ui-l was held yesterday at Petone concerning the death of Frank Itevell. whose body n\is found on tlio roadside on Friday' night. Dc-cased was employed as a fitter at tlic railway workshops. Tlu> evidence allowed tli.it the dray had been driven, unlightod, by Thomas Pheehan. The motorist evidently one shaft, which was brokon off and blood-stained, and the liorse was also cut about. The coroner returned a verdict that ttcvell died from injuries accidentally received through a collision between his motor-cycle and a dray. Subsequently Miechan waa charged with being drunk while in charge of a cart, and also wilh failing to have n light on the vehicle, and further that on February 27 he had been guilty of an omission resulting in the death of Rcvell. Sheehan \va< remanded till Wednesday.
