TWO JOCKEYS INJURED, (By Telegraph—"Moturoa.") Wanganiii, Saturday Night Patronale was a slightly better favorite than Cheddar and Austin in the Autumn Handicap. Patronale was first away but Austin lead along the back. Cheddar joined Austin at the home turn, and running on strongly, won a good race by a length, Guiding Way a close third; then Merry Frank, Stepney, and Patronale.

The public went for Historiette in the Maturawa Handicap. Aratiatia led from Powder Fox at the start. Powder Fox was first into the straight. Historiette came from almost the last, simply smothering the. opposition and winning easily from Lubriline and Firing Line.

Tlie Jackson Stakes was a fine race. The bracketed pair, Emperador and Rencontre, carried more money than Ba«diera and Gipsy Belle. Rencontre was soon in front, and only gave way to Emperador over the last bit. Bandicra broke down badly in the race. Timothy was "odds on" favorite for the Fordell Hurdles, and made most of the running, but Cornelian took the lead at the home turn and won easily. Merrie Lad fell at the last fence. Rider Murtagh was badly knocked about, and was still unconscious to-night. Aruake was favorite in the Hack Hurdles. He lead all the way and won easily- , Sir Solo, Leonta, Moutoa Girl and Bon Ton were heavily supported in the Wanganiii Stakes. Bon Ton and Moutoa Girl made most of the running. Bronze and Tiresome fell four furlongs from the finish. The hitter's rider, Conquest, sustained severe 'injuries. Moutoa Girl, Leonta, and Marshal McDonald fought put a great finish, Marshal McDonald beating leonta by a narrowest margin, Moutoa Girl a neck away third. Bon Ton, Sea Pink, Los Angelos, and Sir Solo next. Canute touched a short price in the Harrison Handicap and won very easily. White Crane finished last.

Heavy wagering in the Farewell Handicap saw Sauci a better favorite than the bracketed pair, Bertrada and Gerberga. Grattan led to the turn, but Pavalova and Sauci had the finish to themselves.
