'■ At the inquest on John William CUannon, acting-fireman, who was killed at Fnmkton itation, evidence showed that he had been working twelve hours continuously. He was putting the break on a truck when he became jammed between the truck and the coal bin. A young man named Leslie Mills was admitted to tho hospital on Saturday suffering from serious injuries caused by a gunshot. It is stated that the young man was in a shed at the back of a house in Park Avenue, when tho sound of a shot startled some residents in tha vicinity, and Mills was found bleeding profusely. He was taken to the hospital. Mills is a ship's steward, 18 years of age. . :•■
