American "graft" in the field of politics has formed I lie subject of many l>Uy f i and novels by noted dramatists and authors, and at tho Theatre Royal last night the subject was treated in a political and dramatic picture, entitled A l'lot Against the (lovernor." The picture in distinctly a good production on novel lines, exposing fearlessly the corruption -which prevails in American politics. The plot is well conceived ami admirably suited for dealing with a problem of 1 his description. The whole pi-oductii.n is from every point of view ■sane, clean, and absorbing. A seeord story in the "Who will Marry M.nrv';" series also attracted considerable attention. Thi.» time a Spanish duke 'is the suitor. Two other dramas in f, strong dramatic programme, are a Pathe production entitled 'The Trappers 1/aughter" and n Lex masterpiece called "A Woman's Stratagem." The "Warwick Chronicle" instalment is both beautiful and instructive, and the comedies include "Dycil. hut not Dead,'' and ''B'ngle's titles which alone promise n ::-t li. The--,' pictures, with a strong supporting programme, will be screened to-night for tlie last time.
