Mis Pankhurst, in a letter to the King, requesting an audience with the deputation from the Women's Social and Political Association, declares the question will not he referred to the Ministers, since they do not recognise the men's authority.
POSITION IN AMERICA, New York, February 25. As the result of the recent adoption of women's suffrage in Illinois, women are running total prohibition candidates in the various cities throughout the State. The saloon-keepers are surprised, as they did not expect the women's opposition. Seven women are nominated for the Chicago alderuianic contests.
