Mawson Returns
FROM Til E ANTARCTIC. PARTY SAFE AND WELL. LITTLE NEWS AVAILABLE. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright Adelaide, February 20. Mr. Way lias received a telegram that the Aurora, conveying Dr. Mawson's party, has pa-sed Cape, Borda. A fitting reception will be tendered on their arrival. Received '27. 1.3 a.m. Adelaide, February 20. The Aurora anchored at the Semaphore. Her return aroused little enthusiasm. A small crowd watched the arrival, and a number of launches, one bearing representatives of the university and another laden willi pressmen, went out to the anchorage and greeted tho explorers. The pressmen had the journey for nothing, Dr. , Mawson informing them that much information, which would otherwise have been interesting, was exclusive and could not be given out. Considerable indignation is expressed in Australia, which provided a large portion of the funds for tho. expedition, at being robbed of the righ tof publishing early information of the doings of the explorers. Australia jwill be compelled to wait until a London paper exercised its exclusive rights of publication. So far as is known, all the explorers returned safe, and much valuable data was secured, but even on these points nothing really definite is obtainable. Probably the story will be available tomorrow.
