ATTACKED BY A SNAKE.
UAK NEARLY STRANGLED. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, February 25. Mrs. Kennedy, wife of a Coraki councillor, was fretting medicine for a sickchild at night, when she was attacked by a big carpet snake which bad mounted the dresser. Her screams brought her husband, who crabbed the reptile near the head. It coiled itself round liis neck and ribs and almost strangled him before his wife succeeded in cutting through the coils. Dissection discovered *ix china eggs and a silver fork in its stomach.
