Mace tied with M 34 points each. The tie was.decided on Saturday, the conditions being 10 shots at l(>ni)yiK After a good contest Uilleman Higgs won by (i points. A gold medal presented by Lieutena'£ F. Ilartnell was also secured by llifleman (Higgs. The conditions attached to the medal were as follow: "To be won by the member of the ''B" Company who compiles the largest aggregate in matches Xos. 1, 2, 8, 4. and 5 at the Taranaki Rillo Association meeting, and who is at the time a tyro miller New Zealand Hide Association rules, i.e., who has not won a prize exceeding one pound at any New Zealand Association meeting.
