TRAIN COLLISION.
PASSENGERS ONLY FRIGHTENED. By Cable—Presß Association—Copyright Ifanganui, Last Night. An incoming North train and an out-ward-bound goods train collided at Wanganiu station at 8.30 this evening. The frontal gear of both engines was damaged, the cow-catcher in the case of the \\ I< locomotive bcina doubled right under the bogey wheels, and the engine l>fted ofl the rails. The goods train was able to back away. The ineomiug train was a Jong one, but there ware few passengers, and these sustained more frisut ban hurt. The eollision U attribute! to a shunter's mistake.
