AUCKLAND EXHIBITION.
PROBABLE CLOSING DATE. By Telegraph—Press Association. * Auckland, Last Night. The period of the Auckland Exhibition has not yet been determined, but the closing dale will probablv be Saturday, April 11. Discussing the matter last evening, the president (Mr Geo. Elliott) said application had been made to the Government by the Commissioners for authority te carry on the Exhibition for two months after February 28, with a right to close it at any time within that period. In order that there should not be a loss, a weekly attendance equivalent to 10,000 adults, exclusive of season ticket holders, would he required. So long as the attraction of the public was Sufficient |q,Maintain that standard the Exhibition would be continued, but his ■present opinion was that it should be closed on the Saturday of Easter Woek.
