Few football clubs have a president, who is as enthusiastic and generous in his support as the Stratford Club's president, .Mr. T. C. Fookes, for many yearß past the honored occupant of the position. He leaves shortly on a health visit to Itogland. Mr. Fookes was met at Messrs. Jackson Bros.' office on Saturday afternoon by members of the Football Club, and supporters of football generally. On behalf of those present, Mr. E. Masters presented Mr. Fookes with a travelling rug, his remarks being endorsed by Messrs. 0. and K. Jackson and Fearoii. Mr. Fookes suitably responded.
