Ponsonby, 87 and 180 for nine crickets (Wilson 30 not out, Taylor 33), defeated University, 82 and 1)2 for seven wickets (Sutherland not out 33), bv five runs on the first innings. Waitemata 178 (Young 82) defeated North Shore, 185 and 148 for eight wickets (Sale 61, Howie 34) bv U runs on the first innings.
[ MATCHES IN WELLINGTON. Wellington, Last Night. Tlie senior cricket championship was continued yesterday in beautiful weather. Victoria College made 11.1 against North 147 for five wickets. East A made 307 against Old lloys, the first partnership, Baker and Gibb'es, producing 181 runs, the former notching 04. Old Hoys have lost one wicket foi 35 runs.
East B dismissed Hutt for 30 and nut on 230 (Walters 70). Central met Petone, and made 103 runs. Petone made 110, and have iosf two wickets for 27 runs in (he second strike.
The match between United Service Juniors and Technical College, plaveil on the racecourse, resulted in an easy •win for United Service. The score did not come to hand last night.
