NEW PLYMOUTH SOCIAL NEWS The Pros-, Visitprs.— A very pleasant afternoon tea was given by the local newspaper proprietors anil printers to the visiting pressmen and printers and their lady folk at the Racecourse tea kiosk on Thursday afternoon. The party was shown over the Park, Mr Newton King's and Mr (lovett's beautiful grounds, and on reaching the kiosk were greeted by splendid music supplied by Mr Van llrck's orchestra, which continued to play throughout the proceedings. The visitors were delighted with the music, which contributed very largely to the success of one of the most pleasant functions ever held in the town. A Concert. The French-Canadian, Paul Uufault. gave a one-night performance in the Theatre Royal last Wednesday, and, needless to say, every item was keenly appreciated, as one rarely hears such a gifted singer.
