BOWLING.
THE AUSTRALIANS IN CIIIUSTCHUROII. AN ENJOYABLE VISIT. Dy Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Lust Night. The Australian bowlers arrived in Christchurch this morning, after a sea journey from Duucdin, and met four rinks selected to represent Christchurch Centre at the Canterbury Bowling Club's green. Mr F. A. Redpath (president of the Canterbury Club) welcomed the visitors to the ground, and expressed the pleasure that the dubmem'bers felt in the. fact that the Au.stialians had been able to lind lime in their tour to make two visits to t.'hiistehurch and to include the, Canterbury Club green amongst those on which they would meet New Zealand bowlers. There was a large and representative attendance of local bowlers, aiul hearty cheers were given for the visitors at the conclusion of the presidential welcome. The Australians responded with one of their appropriate little pi.rtsongs. The match resulted: Australia, 94; Christchurch Centre, 97.
