Illinois., when two lads showed cuts and bruises in court during the trial of fojiv religious enthusiasts belonging to the Holiness cult, the lads alleging that they had been illtreated during church services, the enraged spectators seized Pastor Lyons, beat and kicked him, and attempted to lynch him. The sheriff and a special force rescued the pastor. The, mob made a second attempt, wlu-n the men fled to the prison, pending an appeal against the line.
