In an action for £10,0(10 damages against Senator Gore, who is blind, the senator gave evidence that when at Oklahoma he was taken by a Mrs, Bond into a room at an hotel and told her that lie could not endorse her husband'* application for the Federal position. He then rose to leave, but she seized his hands and screamed. Two of his political opponents entered land professed lo have witnessed an alleged assault. He scorned Mrs. Bond's claim.
