SUMMARY AND FORECAST. * By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates, Government Meteorologist, furnishes the following •ummary and forecast:— Summary.—The weather has been gloomy, with rain in parts of the North, but fair to cloud* conditions have prevailed in the South. The 'barometer rose about Cook Strait during the night, but has had a falling tendency everywhere to-day. Increasing easterly winds have prevailed. ' Forecast.—present indications are for «trong north-easterly to south-easterly irinds, with tacreasin? mist and cloudiness and rain probably following <*ener- . ally. The barometer has a falling tendency everywhere.
