HIGH SCHOOL BOARD.
At the High School Board meeting yenterday,- the principal asked for the appointment of two new masters at £2OO and £1(1(1, with board, for the preparatory and upper school, respectively. He asked for a marquee for gymnastics, pending the erection of the iiew gymnasium, for an extra room to he added as a music-room, and for an expenditure of ,C.">(l on the playing-liell. The Hoard decided to appoint Another master for the upper school; declined lo appoint one for [lie preparatory division; referred I lie music-room request to the Finance Committee; and granted the other requests. Hiss (.Irani, principal of the llirls" School, was authorised to report upon the establishment of a girls' preparatory division. Her request for the establishment of a commercial course was declined, and the I girl, requiring it will need to attend the Technical College. Tenders will be called for erecting the new gymnasium.
