FRENCH ARMY EPIDEMIC.
800 MEN IN> HOSPITAL. By Cable—PTess Association—Copyright Paris, February 13. There are extraordinary epidemics of scarlet fever, pneumonia and cerebrospinal meningitis, and 800 men are in hospital at Toul and 500 at Nancy. Many other garrisons are also affected, and there!have been numerous deaths. The epidemic is due to overcrowding, [ owing to their being 185,000 extra recruits and a delay in-constructing new barracks.
