Lately, through the efforts of the League, these have been strikingly brought before the outside world by means of moving pictures, advertisements and illustrated printed matter, but to fully appreciate them they have to be actually seen. Townspeople will, we are sure, do whitover lies in their power to make the stay of the visitors interesting and enjoyable. The pressmen will have come primarily to work, but there is no reason why they should not between times be shown our principal features of interest. . The Tourist League, in conjunction with the oil companies, is arranging a trip to the Moturoa oil field, whilst a movement is afoot to '■do" the mountain at the conclusion of the visitors' labors. The conveyance of so many visitors to the I tain is no light undertaking, anu iu enable it to be carried out successfully, as we trust it will be, it will he necessary to enlist the help of local private motor ear owners. Already, we Understand, a number of them have placwl their machines at the service of those who are engaged in organising the trip, mid we hope many more will be equally public-spirited and patriotic. New Plymouth is one of the most hospitable towns in the Dominion, and it ill be through no fault of its citizens if the visitors do not go away with plea- J
