AX.NTAL MEKTING OF ASSOCIATION' By telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Thursday. At tlip animal meeting of the Xori.li Island Bands' Association, Mr. L. C.'olion, of presided over a large attendance. It was slated ill the report that the Association had now !)!) aliiliated hands. (If these 21) were taking part in the Exhibition competitions, while the balance were represented by delegates. In every ciinc there ||ad been a considerable increase on the Christchurch Exhibition contest entries, and by a strange coincidence the same two musical judges were acting at the Auckland Exhibition contests in the same capacity as they did in IHO7.
The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr. L. Cohen (\V.inganui); treasurer, Captain J. Mounsey (I'almerston North); executive, Mr. C. .M'cConnell (Napier), Mr. W. Jupp, I.ieut.-Col. Herd (Wellington), Messrs .1. Trusscll, .T. Anderson and T. Meitli .(VVanganiii), Mr. .T. It. Williamson .(Auckland), Colonel Pringle and Maj»r •Dunk (Palmerston Xorth), Mr. V. P. Wainsborongli (Marlon); auditors, Mr. W. 1!. Rutherford (I'almerston Xortli). Over 50 vice-presidents were elected.
