AGRICULTURAL SHOWS.
MAIITON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Marton, Yesterday. ' The second annual show of the Mar- 1 ton A. and P. Association yesterday was a great success. There was a ' large attendance. The stock was particularly good, horses being a prominent feature and the competitions were keenly contested. The Governor was accorded a civic reception and entertained at luncheon 011 the showgrounds. He expressed himself highly delighted with the prosperous and fertile Rangitikei distrit and the splendid exhibits at the show. DANNEVIRKE. Dannevirke, Last Night. The people's day of the Dannevirke Show was held in splendid weather. There was a record attendance. Results: — Ladios' driving—Miss Barker 1, Miss Clausen 2. Hunters' Leaping—L. 11. CollinaoiA Major Webb 1, C. Hart's Play Boy 2, F. Armstrong's Baldie 3. Turning— Roy Hood 1, A. M. Harmer 2. Ladies' Hunters—D. O. Smith's Bill 1, 11. F. Cobb's Scotch Mist 2, C. Hart's Play Boy 3. High Jump—-E. Burrell's Gayboy 1, M. O'Connor's Commodore 2.
