LAUNCH CUT DOWN.
AN EXCITING RESCUE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, February 10. The ferry steamer Lady Rawson was conveying a party of moonlight excursionists when she cut down and sank a motor launch off Dawes Point. Five men were precipitated into the water. Lifebuoys were thrown and rescued four of the men, but ouo drifted away. There was an exciting rescue. Two young men, in spite of the risk of sharks, diveßted themselves of their clothing and swam to the man's assistance and succeeded in keeping him afloat until they were picked up.
