Hannah aopltcd for leave to remove part of bank on north-western corner of Romeo street anil Broadway south.-r-The council, in accordance with its policy, could not entcrtarn the proposal. Mrs. M. Mass-all. wrote announcing her desire to «r«ct a permanent fence hc-twei-n her property and. the council's reserve in Orlando street. —Referred to the reserves committee. lion. W. Eraser wrote that the council's representations regarding the prosecution of the Stratford-TV Koura nailway had been noted. The Minister of Public Works also wrote promising to forward to the council « copy of any petition lodged in connection with the proposed electric light license. Mr. A. F. Wilson asked the council to give instruct ions for the blackberry and Cnlifornian thistle to be cleared on the council's borough reserves and the roads adjoining.—lnstructions had already been given accordingly. Mr. A. Coleman, secretary of the Stratford Racine Club, asked the council to pay .t'-t Ss -Id, being the cost of 20 cubic yards of metal (at -1s 5d per yard) spread on the Pembroke road oast by the club. The work was done by arrangement with the foreman to connect with the club's newly installed roadway. The club did not propose to ask tlie council for anything toward the cost of spreading, so far as the labor, etc.. was concerned.—On the motion of the mayor, the request was granted.
