GUARDS THE EMPEROR'S PICTURE. Times-Sydney Sun Special Cables. Received 9, 5.20 p.m. Tokio, February 9. A schoolmaster in an island village adjacent to Sukarajima volcano, refused to depart in the rescue steamer with other residents. He preferred to guard the Emperor's picture in the schoolhousc. He was forcibly removed with the picture amid a rain of red- | hot stones and nslies.
