Lord Derby, in his reply to Huron ilc ..Forest, complains that whereas the I memorandum whereon the title of the Bottle estates is based stated in the clearest words that the estimated valns referred to the. present time, Baron de Forest advanced impossible conditions, demanding besides the land every sum received by Lord Derby, or his predecessors, from sales, fines, and mortgages for the past 200 years. Baron de Forest, in a re joiner, says Lord Derby ought to have stated the estate since the outset bad' made three o) four millions in profit out of increment value.
