YACHTING.

THE NORTIICOTE CUP. WON BY RAWHITI. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received 3, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, February 7. The second race for the Northeote Cup, to windward and back, twice round, was won by Rawhiti for the second time. She therefore retains the trophy for New South Wales. The weather was troublesome, and calms interspersed with a choppy wind and strong gusts of rain. The race was exciting throughout. The Victorians showed fine seamanship, and both at times apparently held winning chances. The Rawhiti was finely handled, and proved her superiority under trying conditions. Tile Killara was handicapped in the final stages by her mainsail splitting. The Rawhiti won by 2niin 2.wcc, beating the Killara bv Gmiu ISsec. »
