B Y , direction of the Public Service Commissioner, applications are invited from UXMARRIED men for appointment as Probationary Warders in the Prison (Service. Candidates for appointment must not be less than 23 nor more than 35 years of age; they must be of strong build, and not less than sft 9in. in height without boots. Each application must be accompanied by a medical certificate of health and fitness for the service, and an educational certificate showing that the candidate has passed the fifth standard or an equivalent examination. Forms of application showing pay, conditions of employment, etc., may be obtained from the Gaolers in towns where a prison is situated, or from the Department of Justice, nt Wellington. All applications, accompanied by the requisite medical and educational certificates and testimonials, must be addressed to the Under Secretary, Department of Justice, Wellington. C. B.
