NORTHOOTE CUP RACE. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright Sydney, February 0. Jn the yachting events, the first race was the Northcote Cup. It was sailed in very little wind, and a thick liaze prevailed. It is a twelve-miles triangu- ■ lar course competition, and the Rawhili was the second holder of the cup The Killara was the challenger, 011 behalf of the St. Hilda Yacht Club, while the Rip, a new Victorian yacht, which /made her first appearance in classic racing', was challenger 011 behalf of tlio Victoria Royal Yacht Club. The Ruwliiti won easily by a mile, the others being disabled.
