After a protracted conference between Mr Bryan and the House Immigration Committee, it is announced us u prac''tacal certainty that no anti-Asiatic legislation would be enacted during the present session. In Congress, Mr Bryan discuswil the whole course of the negotiations with Japan, and pleaded with memliers of the Committee not to :'ake action with regard to the Baker Bill, in order to leave the Government free to deal diplomatically with the immigration question. The Committee thereupon decided to postpone the Ascitic exclusion measures indefinitely.
