PAYMENT OF ORCHESTRAS.
' AN AGREEMENT ARRIVED AT. ,By Cable—Press Association— Copyright Sydney, February 6. A conference of representatives of theatrical companies and the Musicians Union reached au agrement for the payment of orchestras. It guarantees 52 •weeks' work vearly and a minimum rate at £3 10s, matinees 10s each. Picture shows will be classified as vaudeville. The agreement will come into force in March Rickard's theatres have accept--ed, but the Brennan-Fuller circuit has ■declined the agreement.
