TAJRANAKI (N.Z.) OIL WELLS, LTD. A WELLINGTON' MEETING. Messrs. (.'. Cuter and J. U. Hoy, members of the New Plymouth Auvisorv Hoard of the lai'anuki (N.Z) Oil WetU Company, Ltd., returned last n;ght from Wellington, where they have been to confer with a meeting of the Wellington shareholders of the company. Mr Carter report.-, that a very sues ressful meeting was held, at whiiih the affairs of the company were discussed on the lines taken by .Sir George ClillorJ at the New Plymouth meeting of shareholders. The Wellington shareholders agreed to aid the company in the direction indicated by .sir George Clifford.

Th» flame" broke out in one of the stills, and when the brigade arrive d, which it did very promptly, it was found that the hose wa"» not long enough to reach to the fire. Tlu firemen, however, with the employees <if > the company, were able to 3iother ths flames with earth and sand. Xo oil wan . lost, only refuso being Burnt, and th» insurance will cover all damage. .
