A City Council deputation waited on 'Messrs Massey and Rhodes advocating granting adequate powers to municipalities to establish milk depots, where ahsolutely pure mill; would be obtainable, and seeking assistance in getting a suitable site or suggesting improvements for ensuring the pure quality of milk. Mr. .Massey said he was anxious to assist the council. It seemed to him the principal difficulty was at the dairy farm, lie would take steps to see that all stock milked was in a healthy condition, and that nothing else should be carried on the (rucks ivilh milk. He thought Parliament would give the increased powers sought. As to a site for a clearing-house, he would bring the matter before the Minister of Railwavs.
