The London Times of December 21 said: 'it is understood that anaugoments have been praclieally eonipleled for a combination of three large steamship lines trading between this country and Australasia. 'The ownerships are those of Messrs William Milburn and Co., Messrs Tvser and Co.. and Mr. T. B. Royden. All these linn- own steamers engaged in the frozen meat trade and employed also at times as emigrant ships.' .Messrs William Milburn and Co. own direct, or as managers of (In- AimloAustralasian Steam Navigation Company, nine modern steamers of behve-n 4000 and 7000 tons. The linn has been a pioneer in successfully applung the superheated steam theory to ship-. Messrs Tvser ami Co. own eight vo-.ds of between lwl») and lll..">llll tons. Mr. T 11. Royden. deputy -chairman of the tuna I'd Line, owns (lie India Line of II vessels of bid ween ."iOnu and 7t««l tons and three other steamers. The combination will thus be a yen important factor in the Ali-iralasiau shipping trade.'
