AUSTRALIA v. SOUTH AUCKLAND. A DRAWN GAME. By Telegraph—Press Association. Hamilton, Last Night. The pitch was in much the same condition as yesterday for the second day of the Australian-South Auckland match. With two wickets to fall, South Auckland continued the innings, which lasted only 12 minutes longer, the hut wicket falling with a total of 247.
After u slow start, McKenzie and Dolling looked like putting on a big score for Australia, the latter rattling up S3 in 50 minutes. Wadily, following the hitting policy, made 3(1 runs in It minutes. Other batsmen, with flie exception of Collins, wtfre troubled by the unreliable wicket. Ransford iu"j Armstrong we're howled before they got into their stride. Noble played quietly for a moderate not-out score, but Collins played beautiful cricket for one-and-a-half hours, making' top score, kis strokes being all round the wicket. The innings realised 287.
When stumps were dmwn, the local men had made 99 for leven wickets. The match was thus drawn.
