MISS BRADFIELD'S MURDER.
ACCUSED BEFORE THE COURT. CASK ADJOURNED. By Cable—Press Association —Copyrignt London, February 3. The court wa,s crowded during the trial of Sumner and Eltoft, in connection with the Liverpool canal tragedy. The police produced evidence that they had discovered obscene photographs 'll Sumner's rooms picturing women drawn up in a position corresponding with that of Miss Bradlield's body. After the corsets had been removed the legs were trussed with ropes prior to being sewn up in a sack. Cross-examined, witnesses for the prosecution suggested that the murderer had hidden in a cellar which communicated with the outside.
■Sumner, in the witness box, gave evidence that Miss liradlield was always kind and he respected her. He saw a man hit her with a marlinspike. The man threatened Sumner with a revolver. The case was adjourned.
