Under an order of attachment Fran*; Harris, director of Modern Society, ha* been arrested for publishing comment.-: or the impending MeJville-I'hitt-Fitzwi:-liam divorce case. The article in .Modern Society included a reference to Lord Fitzwillinm as a "sly dog" for concealing the Leslie. MelI ville episode while the King and Queen were visiting him in Yorkshire in the summer. It commented on Lady Fiizwilliam's attitude, suggesting that she could tell a story about her husband. Justice the Hon. Sir T. (!. Horridge stated that the comments were extremely objectionable and prejudicial to the co-respondent and were not a sample of what- the press of England di,'.. He committed Harris for an indefinite period, as he had had an opportunity to apologise but had not done so.
